Carol Harwood - Fiddle
Carol started her musical career as a child playing alongside siblings, her mother and gran in the family band, touring a circuit of workers' clubs and other venues in the North Of England. She went on to study music at Lancaster University and graduated with a BMus. She taught music for many years before moving to Arran, where she developed a passion for Scottish traditional music. She has been a regular feature at island ceilidhs and music events over the last few years.
Carol is on the management staff of Arran Coop.
Nick Buloss - Guitar
Nick played as a child in a brass band before taking up guitar as a teenager and playing in a number of groups. He experimented with many different styles before taking an interest in Scottish and Irish music. Nick also plays flute and whistles.
Nick works at Brodick Castle where he is assistant head gardener.
Alistair Paul - Fiddle
Alistair has been playing the fiddle for 30 years and has a long interest in Scottish traditional music. He organises the Arran Fiddle Club and helps run the Arran Feis which teaches children in traditional music.
Alistair runs his own landscaping and gardening business.
Mark Harwood - percussion
Mark learned to play guitar as a child and went on to play in a number of bands as a young adult experimenting with different styles from rock to jazz and country. He now plays a number of different instruments and settled on percussion as the best complement to the Ceilidh Band.
Mark works in the Coop in Brodick
